The Wallace State Alumni Association offers up to eight scholarships each year ranging from $250 - $2,500 each. These are available each semester and are not renewable. Applicants must have completed a minimum of 24 semester hours of coursework at WSCC; must be a full-time student at the time of application and maintain at least half-time status to retain the scholarship; and must have a 2.5 or higher GPA.

Ozell Hinkle Member/Dependent Scholarship
This $500 scholarship is named in memory of founding Alumni Board member, Ozell Hinkle. The recipient must be a current WSCC Alumni Association or Student Alumni member or dependent of an Alumni Association member; have a 2.5 or higher GPA; demonstrate an involvement in community or school activities.
Outstanding Women Scholarship Fund (funded with proceeds from the Little Black Dress Charity Bash)
These scholarships are awarded annually in the amount of $2,500. ($1,250 per semester). Recipients must be a full-time student, have a minimum GPA 3.0, demonstrated involvement in community or school activities, and demonstrated financial need. Recipients must volunteer in the Alumni Office for three hours each week.
4-Year Transfer Scholarship
The Wallace State Community College Alumni Association is offering up to three transfer scholarships for current members of Student Alumni Association. The scholarship amount is $1,000 and you must meet the following criteria:
• Will have completed an Associate Degree prior to transfer at WSCC;
• Be a current member of the Student Alumni Association;
• Possess a 3.25 or higher overall grade point average.
Scholarship Application for Students of Current Alumni Association Member
The Wallace State Community College Alumni Association is offering scholarships for students attending WSCC whose parent, guardian or spouse is a current member of Alumni Association. The scholarship amount is $1,000 ($500 for fall semester and renewable for $500 spring semester if you continue to meet scholarship criteria). Note: preference will be given to students whose parent, guardian or spouse graduated from Wallace State.
